Why hairdressing?

The emotional connection of doing someone’s hair and seeing their reaction! I’ve been doing my family and friends hair since I was a teenager, making them look good meant they felt good about themselves and that will always remain my priority when growing within the industry!

Why Ella&Jade?

I’m pretty biased now as I’ve tasted the kool aid! But in seriousness, you only need a quick scroll on Ella&Jade’s Instagram to see how talented the team are, and I immediately wanted to be apart of it all!

What aspect of hair are you most interested in and why?

Hairdressing gives a person the versatility for so many career opportunities: salon stylist, fashion shows, photo shoots & film, business owner or educator. The choices you have once acquiring a skill set such as hairdressing has been the main driver for me entering the industry really. I’m excited to learn about everything within the industry! As a second year there is so much I haven’t even been introduced to yet, I want to learn it all & I’m looking forward to seeing what I end up gravitating towards. My Instagram is full of beautiful up styles, wedding hair and extension transformations. Specialising in any of those would be amazing!

Beyond the salon:

My most important role in life has become that as Mum, so when I’m not in salon I am busy with my little girl! My hobbies include good food and wine, family and friends. I’ve been reading a lot the last year too and I’m always asking clients about the book they’re reading when they’re in for their appointments. When I have some down time, I love catching up with my friends for brunch, dinner or a cheeky spicy margarita or two…
