More about Maddi…
Having studied art throughout school, I’m confident in both the creativity and skill required to be a top-tier hairdresser. My loves lies with creative colouring and placement, and I love how it enhances my clients’ individual style and appearance.
2018 was a milestone year for me, finalising in Hair Expo's 2018 Apprentice of the Year, and being selected for the Rising Star program at Brisbane Hair & Beauty. Folllowing this, in 2020 I also finalised for AHIA Senior Stylist of the Year.
Now in 2024 I’m managing the Algester salon and working alongside Alannah, which feels like a full circle moment for me - I’ve recently found a new love for hair extensions, and am working towards becoming Ella&Jade’s first in-house extension specialist. I love that I am able to change somebody’s look and give them their ultimate salon hair care goals with the help of extensions. I love seeing the transformation and confidence that it brings to my clients.
Why hairdressing?
I love the fact that each day I get to be creative but also that I get to work with some amazing people and meet so many wonderful clients along the way. Making people feel great about themselves each and every day is the most rewarding feeling.
Why Ella&Jade?
I chose Ella&Jade, hair salon in Algester because of the atmosphere. I started my journey with E&J as a client seeing Alannah of all people to do my hair for my school semi formal and formal! I continue to choose Ella&Jade for the opportunity, the growth, the commitment and the family I’ve made.
What aspect of hair are you most interested in and why?
I love all things lived-in colouring and balayage, blondes and the occasional bright and vivid to spice it up a little!
Beyond the salon:
Eating way too much delicious food and having a sneaky wine or two. But also I am a huge Harry Potter fan so I constantly re-watch all the films until my hearts content (which is never enough).
