Why hairdressing?

I chose hairdressing because I wanted to be a jack of all trades, already having completed a diploma in specialist makeup services. It has always been a dream of mine to one day have my own home salon, doing hair and makeup for formals and weddings. As a child I would always get in trouble for cutting my Bratz dolls hair and into my early teens would spend hours on YouTube teaching myself how to braid or style my hair. Hairdressing just seemed like a natural progression for me in my career. 

Why Ella&Jade?

I chose Ella & Jade, hair salon in Algester because even from one glance at their Instagram feed you can tell that the team are so passionate about what they do. I’m a creative at heart and wanted to work with likeminded people who will help me blossom into an amazing stylist. From just a week in salon I have already been so inspired by my fellow team members and I’m so excited about my future with the company. 

What aspect of hair are you most interested in and why?

The aspect I like the most is foiling, specifically because it’s completely customizable to each person - no colour will look the same on everyone!

Beyond the salon:

I love music and spend my weekends going to gigs or festivals. I also enjoy a good Pilates class and winding down by watching a tv show with my partner.

I like to spend my weekends with friends watching our partners play cricket with a wine or two in hand or at the beach with a good book.
