Hi I’m Anna! I’ve been hairdressing for over 15 years, and 5 of those I’ve spent with Ella&Jade. This has been my biggest career chapter to date and I’ve achieved so much since making the move from central Queensland to Brisbane in 2018.
Over the past 5 years, I’ve progressed from Senior Stylist to Master Stylist to Educator to Technical Director. I’ve been part of multiple fashion weeks, campaigns and photoshoots, and have created my own beautiful images and collections that have seen me finalise nationally for AHFA’s Newcomer of the Year and Queensland Hairdresser of the Year. I recently placed Gold for Creative Haircutter of the year in Australia for Goldwell Global Creative Awards and was flown to Chicago to compete live on a global platform. This experience will forever be a highlight and I am so proud of this achievement.
In my day-to-day, I run a full column creating beautiful looks for my clientele, educate our apprentices internally and also work externally to help grow the next generation of hairdressers.
Why hairdressing?
I love that through our craft we are able to be a big part of someone’s life, we are there through the highs and lows. Being apart of someone’s life unfolding is a really special place to be so for me hairdressing ticked many boxes and being around people was on that top of that list.
Why Ella&Jade?
I wanted to find a salon that felt like home, I wanted to be apart of something bigger and I wanted the opportunities that being in a new city would bring. I was lucky to find Ella&Jade, hair salon in Woolloongabba and it’s brought me so much growth along with a family that will be part of my life for years to come.
What aspect of hair are you most interested in and why?
I love hair cutting! Big transformations or small tweaks that can change someone’s shape sparks so much joy for me.
Beyond the salon:
I spend most of my weekends with friends & family, whether it’s watching a movie with my mum, doing brunch with a bestie or a drink or two with the work fam, my weekends usually involve people that I love.
